Dear EditShare partner,
Please read this note carefully, as it pertains to important information in relation to the latest Apple mac OS update - Catalina.
What’s happening with Apple macOS Catalina and EditShare Flow?
On Monday 7th October Apple released Catalina (10.15) as a macOS upgrade. We have been testing EditShare Flow on the release candidates of Catalina to ensure compatibility, and we’ll expect to release a fully compatible version of Flow for Catalina shortly.
As with any operating system release, vendors may make changes up until their general availability release. For this reason, we recommend that you and your team do not upgrade to Catalina until our compatibility release is launched.
Impact of using Catalina before it’s supported with EditShare Flow:
Currently EditShare Flow clients are not signed to run in conjunction with Catalina (10.15) and will display the following message when attempting to start:
"Flow .app" cannot be opened because Apple cannot check for malicious software.
This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information.
We are working hard to resolve this issue with an aim of releasing updated Flow client installers as quickly as possible. Please keep a close eye on the EditShare support page and the my.editshare.com portal for updated information.
